FAQ
What will I notice? >
Some individuals notice almost instantaneous shifts in how they feel. Many others never consciously feel a difference, because any changes may be subtle enough that there is never be a point where they suddenly feel “different”. This, however, does not mean that nothing is happening.
If you want to evaluate the process for yourself, consider writing down your current experience, where you are stuck or what you’re struggling with. Tuck that list away and look at it again after the recommended period of use. Are the issues and their severity the same?
Note that this may not be the best means of evaluating it, for a few reasons, including that sometimes it’s hard to know on conscious level where we might really need a shift, similar to a fish not knowing that it is wet, and if we’re not aware of it, it would be hard to track in this way, so this also doesn’t indicate for sure whether it “did something” or not, but for some, I’m sure it would be interesting.
What if I don’t like the nail polish color or don’t want to use it on the recommended finger/toe? >
Disliking a particular color can mean that you do struggle with embracing or utilizing the frequency that it represents and that you would benefit from more interaction with it. If it’s a style thing, well, it’s a question of priorities. I encourage you to embrace the opportunity to learn something new or shift in ways you didn’t realize were necessary or possible.
What happens once I place an order/what will I do with the recommendation? >
I will send you my recommendation within one week of you placing your order, including a specific nail polish color, which fingers/toes to paint (it’s usually one/the same toe or finger on each side), how long to maintain the polish for, and a link to order the polish (no financial affiliation). You order directly from that company and proceed with painting when you get it in, repainting/maintaining chips, wearing off, etc. as needed. How often you’ll have to repaint depends on your particular habits and aesthetic preferences. It’s a good idea to keep at least a majority percent of the indicated nail painted throughout the indicated time period.
Do/can I paint my other nails? >
Yes and no—the recommendation is specifically for the one color on the indicated nails, and the cleanest way to interact with this form of color therapy is to acknowledge that the addition of frequencies in the form of color on your fingertips has a real effect, we don’t want to muddy the waters when we’re trying to nudge your system with color intentionally, and to leave your other nails bare. I think that you are more likely to maximize possible benefits by doing this. That said, there are no nail polish police.
How long do I do this for?
The most common recommendations are painting a particular nail a particular color for 6 weeks or 3 months, but this is individual and could be shorter or longer.
You can do whatever you like, of course, but I suggest following the recommendation in order to get the best effect.
Does this replace medical or other treatment?
No—this recommendation is for the nail polish only. I am not evaluating your case for what you medically or otherwise do or do not need. The system that I use for selecting colors and other details (distance autonomic response testing) intelligently chooses something that fits into the individual’s current reality and needs, without needing to make changes.
Can I order for a child, other family member, or a friend? >
If the individual is a minor or disabled adult that you are the legal guardian of, yes.
You can pay for a friend, adult family member, or minor family member that you are not the guardian of, but that person or their legal guardian, as appropriate, must contact us themselves to fulfill their recommendation; similar to ordering a massage as a gift—you can purchase it, but they have to want to fulfill it and follow through vs. having the massage imposed on them. There are no refunds if the person does not want or fulfill the gift, so you might check their interest level first.
Is there a discount if I order for more than one person at a time? >
Let me know if you want to do this and we can discuss!
Will this interfere with medications or other treatment? >
No. Because color therapy acts gently on an energetic level of your system, it does not interfere with other products and vice versa.
Which brands to you recommend? >
I recommend SOPHi/Piggy Paints due to their lower toxicity.
Can I specify the brand I want to use and/or use polish I already have? >
Possibly! I’m willing to look at two additional brands of your choice per recommendation (due to the work required, I do charge additionally for more brands), but, having checked out many “non-toxic” brands previously, I can ALMOST guarantee that they will not pass the test. If you want to use only the brands you like and are not open to the one I recommend, again, due to the effort involved in investigating brands, the cost is still the same and non-refundable, even if the answer is no.
Note too that different people have different tolerances for different types of toxic exposure. Some people may be able to use different brands than others.
I live in ( ) country—can I still get a recommendation/from the brand you recommend/from a brand local to me? >
Yes, there is a Canadian site and many colors are available in the UK.
Outside of these locations:
I recommend contacting SOPHi/Piggy Paints about shipping to you
I’m happy to look at up to 5 different brands that you know you can get locally
And finally, if SOPHi/Piggy Paints can’t ship to you at all or at a cost/time frame that’s reasonable to you (shipping, customs, etc. is on you) and/or we can’t find a local-to-you brand that tests well, I will refund you the cost of the recommendation.
I’m looking at SOPHi/Piggy Paints. Do I use the Prime Shine Seal system? Do I use their remover? >
“No” to the Prime Shine Seal system, as we’re wanting to use as few chemicals as possible, even if it means repainting more often.
“Yes” to their remover; either the regular and the California versions is fine. The gel remover is not needed, as you aren’t using the Prime Shine Seal system.
Are there any refunds if I don’t feel it was beneficial, it made me feel worse, etc.? >
No refunds are offered, with the exception being that if I am unable to send you your recommendation within a week, then I will reach out to ask if you’d like to still wait for that, and if not, then I will give you a full refund.
Re: feeling that it’s not beneficial: given the holistic and subtle nature of color therapy like this, that someone does not feel it was beneficial does not mean that it wasn’t.
Similarly, that it made someone feel worse does not mean that is a bad thing—for example, if someone needs to be more grounded in their life, but they are accustomed to and potentially addicted to feeling very ‘up’, and experience imbalances due to that, a slower sense of stability may feel ‘bad’ to them. That doesn’t mean that it is bad.
Also because how gentle color therapy is, there are no concerns of this causing a serious medical or other problem that would warrant some type of refund or compensation, as may be the case with other treatment modalities.
